Current STEM Standards

Massachusetts has adopted the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. The 2011 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for English Language Arts and Literacy, the 2011 Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics, and the most current version of these standards can be found on the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's website.

These frameworks have been adopted by the Board of Education; however, they are still being copyedited. The standards, however, are final.

The state is about to engage with Achieve and other states to begin drafting the new common science and technology/engineering standards, which is likely to take about a year. The most current Massachusetts science and technology/engineering standards can be viewed here.
